Summer Besties

Hello lovelies,
Hope you all having a great day wherever you are,I decided to a tag which is been going around in youtube mostly and also in some blogs. it is about some of my favorite summer items in beauty and fashion categories:
Favorite Summer Items
1. Lip product
2. Blush
3. Nail polish
4. Liquid face product
5. Powder face product
6. Hair product
7. Eye product
8. Self Tanner (or any tanning item)
9. Fashion accessory
10. Clothing piece
1. Lip product my favorite or most used lip product is "Soft Nude" & "Nude Attitude" lipsticks by Revlon usually in weekdays when I go to office; and for the weekend I try to use the other side of spectrum like "In the Red" by Revlon or "Speak louder" by mac.

2. For Blush I intend to wear more cream blushes like "Natural" by NYX which is a very nice creamy pink color with no shimmer. and as powder ones I use more pink-peachy colors like "Orgasm" by Nars.

3. Nail Polish which I did an extended post here, but mostly I've been wearing hot pink or nude tones.

4. For liquid face product the one and only Estee Lauder double wear foundation which I talked about here in details.

5. In powder face product I would say that I rarely set my make up with powder ( because it is unnecessary in my case), and if I use, it would be a translucent powder by Physician Formula.

6. For Hair product is basically nothing, I shampoo everyday ( I know it is not good but since I workout  almost everyday, doing shampoo is inevitableI use my regular hair stuff nothing special for summer. I usually do not use hair dryer in summer times. let them air dry and the conditioner that I use after shampoo is quite moisturizing enough, so I don't get frizzy dry hair.

7. My favorite eye product of summer will be Estee Lauder cream shadows which are great, stay put  ( talked in more details here). and also Bobbie Brown gel liners, they stay on all day and are also great for waterline.
8. Self tanner is a big NO for me, I use bronzer on my face all the time if that counts and my favorite is Soleil Tan de Channel.  bronzer posts in more details are here and here.

9. My favorite and most used fashion accessories would be rings, I don't use them a lot in winter times because of gloves and  my habit of losing them. but love me some big chunky colorful rings.they always cheer me up.

10.my Favorite clothing piece would be maxi dresses, I wore them a lot this summer because they are super light and comfortable. here some of my favs and most worn. sometimes I belt them also :)

So that would be all for me, I tag everyone of you, I always enjoy reading other people favorite stuff.
Have a great Tuesday & splendid summer everyone :)

Obsession du jour : Dear Sam Edelman...

I've been obsessed with your shoe designs as long as I remember and I can summarize all in one sentence " I love your shoes " and that's all ;)
Well to be honest I love the shoes hate their prices most of the times; but this week at "The Bay" stores they were on sale for 30% or something like that ;so I ran there as soon as I could.  I probably tried about 20 pairs or even more and as usual most of my favorite ones were sold out. the sale person managed to find one for me :) and I got it; yooohoo !well I wanted to get more but I controlled myself ;)
This is the one I got :)

This one I had on my list for a LONG time ...a coral cute flat :), it was from last year collection I think.
They had a lot of gladiator styles but I was looking for something with heels and I had enough of those gladiator styles already ( from last summers since they been in style for a couple of years now) but they are very nice too :)
So for any shoe lover out there, let's all enjoy them together :)
These were all sold out in my size so I gave up ( for now !) . I love wedge shoes, still enjoying the height with a comfortable feel :)
Happy Wednesday everyone :)

Obsession du jour :Maxi dress

Maxi dresses for summer have been in style for a couple of years now and this year they are even bigger than ever you see them everywhere.  and what not to love: they are very comfortable and also so versatile. I know for some people is love/ hate relationship with maxi dress but I think it's just the matter of finding the right cut and pattern for yourself.
I have quite a few of those and last weekend I went shopping with one of my friends and we both ended up buying some maxi dresses which we both loved :)
As I mentioned before they are so versatile, you can dress them up for going out in the evening or wear them casually to the beach or at any other summer day activities; it just needs to be accessoriesed accordingly.
There are so many different models and cuts out there, I personally love the empire waist ( since they have a nice structure and it works with my body type). for the rest of them if they don't have a specific shape to them I just use a proper belt to shape them the way I want; pair them with a casual blazer ( like in jeans fabric) or with a light cardigan.  the fabric is also important; for summer times cotton is the best and I also love jersey since they are so light ,flow-y and comfortable.
Here are some of the images of different runway shows of 2011 which were my picks:
D&G summer spring 2011 show

Channel Resort 2011

Chloe 2011, specially love the color

Michael Kors spring/summer 2011

The last one which is the most simple one; I bought  the same model but in orange color last week ( from F21 which was about 12 $ and the Michael Kors one is about 130$). by itself I think it's little bit boring and it definitely needs a belt or another really nice  accessories.

This post really put me in the mood for summer, I am doing my spring-summer closet cleaning this week and can't wait to dig out my last year's dresses and also shop for some new ones :)
So what is your relation with maxi dresses : Love them or Hate them?!?
Till next time :)

Obsession du jour :Nude pumps

I think there are some classic fashion pieces that should be in every girl's wardrobe like classic trench coats, little black dress with perfect cut.... and one of them is nude pumps. I don't know if I mentioned this before or not I am truly a shoehalic person, I love shoes more than anything else. going out to look for shoes would be my favorite shopping trip ( maybe not for my hubby or anyone else coming with me ) because I really spend time to look and try as much as I can and then decide. actually there is only one of my friends that could put up with me during shopping trips and she is the best.
Nude pumps are my favorite color of shoes ( after black pumps of coarse) they go with every color of outfit,  they make the skin color look little more tan and glowy and they will lengthen your legs like no other!
Don't get me wrong I still think every girl should have at least one sexy fabulous black pumps but sometimes you need something different and that's when nude pumps come in mind.
Nude color can work with every skin tone, but they have to kinda match and fit with your skin color (since there are tons of nude shades). for darker skin tones camel, chocolate tone nudes look better compared to light beige.
Here are some I had for a couple of years now ( some of them are a mix of nude with other color or another pattern):

Anne Klein

easysprit

and these are the ones I have my eyes on , some of them are extremely expensive, the ones form Aldo look reasonable price wise, I just need to find time and go try them on since I don't feel comfortable in most of their shoes.
Jimmy Choo
Christian Louboutin
Jimmy Choo one is quite expensive ( around 700$) , but I've seen the same exact model at Aldo or Steve Madden stores (under 100$).
Aldo
So what do you think ? do you have a pair of nude heels yet or your prefer a traditional black heels?
Hope you all have great Wednesday,

Obsession du jour : Fabulous Jewelery

I am still sick :( typing and coughing at the same time. enough of that and let's talk something beautiful :)
This has been my current obsession for the past few months. I've been into jewelry as long as I remember. I think they are an important part of any outfit and can make anything as simple as a t-shirt glamorous and special.  but recently I am all about over-the-top, unique and vintage designs. I came across so many beautiful pieces but some of them are very hard to find and even if I found them usually they carry a heavy price tag. so I taught even though  I can't get them, I can share some of the pieces with you and see what's your taste on jewelry:

Suzanna Dai Cofru Necklace, I love the gold one and it is 350+ $ !

Matthew Campbell Laurenza Pink Sapphire and Amethyst Cuff which I have no idea how much it is !
Love the combination of black onyx and yellow gold, like this necklace by Chan Luu which is 200+$.
Here were just some of them. so what about you, do you love over-the-top, statement jewelries, or you prefer to be on the safe side ;)
wish you all a great day
